Governance & Regulatory Framework

All survey activities are conducted within the FSC Mauritius regulatory framework.

Surveys are conducted in alignment with the Insurance Act 2005, FSC Rules, and applicable Guidance Notes, supporting prudent underwriting and fair treatment of policyholders. All reports are structured to meet FSC governance standards on risk transparency and documentation.

Fire, cyclone, storm, flood, water damage, theft, accidental damage, construction risk, occupancy hazards, and catastrophe exposure. Natural peril assessments are particularly important in Mauritius given the island's exposure to cyclone and flood events.

A-Brokers applies the internationally recognised COPE framework — Construction, Occupancy, Protection, and Exposure — to all property risk inspections. This structured methodology ensures consistent, audit-defensible assessments that meet insurer and reinsurer underwriting expectations.

Survey outputs are structured to meet the requirements of facultative reinsurers. Technical data, photographs, risk narratives, and exposure information are compiled into comprehensive submissions that support efficient reinsurance placement and renewal.
